I'm not sure whether it's technically winter or fall but regardless, just finished up my first run, since probably February, that involved me wearing a jacket. I curse my sister for getting me that stupid nike+ thing...since on days when I'd normally not run, I see it on the table looking at me, saying "fine, don't run...I guess you just can't cut it..." Oh well, hopefully it will help in that proverbial "long run"...
I used Vox as a way to keep track of my running schedule when my sister was out of town. Apparently, my "reward" for keeping up with my running workouts was a one of those "Nike+" sensors, that, you guessed it, tracks how much running you do. I've got a couple runs in it now, but I'm not really sure how to share the results, if they're available as an RSS feed, etc...I did find a Wordpress plugin so I'll be able to put it on kivus.com, probably kivus.info, but I'm not sure about Vox...
Got through 13 intervals today and was feeling pretty strong at the end. It was a good way to finish up the "without the little sister pushing me" running period.
Made it through 11+ intervals today. Not too bad. Should be enough to keep up with my sister when she gets back.
Got a solid 9 intervals today, with a couple of partial intervals. Felt pretty decent, though my legs were very sore when it was all said and done.
Went hard for 5 intervals today and then turned in because it looked like it might start to rain. It was kind of a weak move to just bail, but there was no way I was getting stuck in the rain.
Went out to pound on the pavement a little today. It was an okay showing with 7 full intervals and about 4 partial intervals. Achilles felt okay, didn't push it too hard. Guess I'll see how it's doing in the morning.
Well, that was pretty terrible. I could tell something was a little off when I started, but as I was finishing up my 4th interval my achillies just flared up. Since the pain was pretty sharp, and I could almost feel a little pull (though that might have been psychological) so I had to pack it in and head back. Kind of disappointing since I'd done pretty well on Thursday.
Got through 9 intervals today...not the best, but not the worst. Running in the 90+ degree heat at 5:30 was pretty brutal, but I figure it'll help with my overall conditioning in the long run...(no pun intended)...
